Position: A/C Engineer
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced A/C Engineer to join our team. As an A/C Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the air conditioning and ventilation systems on board our clients' vessels. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all air conditioning and ventilation systems on board the vessel
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with A/C and ventilation systems
- Order and maintain inventory of necessary parts and equipment for repairs
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all systems are functioning properly and efficiently
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Train and supervise junior A/C technicians
- Communicate with other crew members and superiors to ensure smooth operation of all systems on board
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing duties
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices for A/C and ventilation systems
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an A/C Engineer on board a vessel
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and their components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Willingness to work long hours and be on call for emergencies
- Valid certification in A/C and refrigeration systems preferred
