Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, situated in George in the heart of the Garden Route.
 
The Finance department is now accepting applications for an Accounts Clerk. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised individual who takes pride in providing efficient financial and administrative support services. The successful candidate will assist with procurement, creditors administration, stock management and general accounting functions while ensuring compliance with accounting protocols and company procedures.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
We consider the following as essential:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent, with accounting as a subject,
  • Advanced competency in MS Excel,
  • Experience and competence in a recognised accounting software package (SAP experience will be advantageous),
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounts or creditors environment,
  • Knowledge of reconciliations, supplier accounts and invoice processing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time.
  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and timeously,
  • Reconciling supplier statements and creditors accounts,
  • Assisting with payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid within agreed terms,
  • Monitoring and managing GR-IR on SAP,
  • Assisting with stock takes and processing stock take results,
  • Assisting with stock management in outlets,
  • Entering stock counts and providing variance reports,
  • Liaising with purchasers and suppliers regarding discrepancies or queries,
  • Ensuring administrative and financial records are accurately maintained.

  • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail,
  • Skills in active listening, critical thinking, problem-solving and time management,
  • Good written and verbal communication skills,
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines,
  • Reliable, dependable and able to work independently,
  • Must be prepared to work weekends and Public Holidays, as and when required.
