We have an amazing opportunity for an Assistant Audit Manager at a National Firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors based in Pietermaritzburg! The main purpose of this role is:

-        to oversee the end-to-end audit lifecycle, managing client portfolios and guiding junior team members. You will be responsible for audit planning and execution, preparing and reviewing complex financial statements and working papers, monitoring staff work-in-progress, and ensuring timeous fee recovery.

We require a candidate with:

·        A completed tertiary qualification (B.Com) and completed SAICA articles.

·        A CA (SA) qualification is highly advantageous.

·        A minimum of 3 years post-articles experience working within an Audit firm environment.

·        Proficient, hands-on CaseWare experience.

·        Strong technical capability in budgeting, managing work-in-progress (WIP), and handling tax-related queries.

·        Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record in staff coaching, mentoring, and effective resource allocation.

·        High-quality execution with meticulous attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and the resilience to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
