Summary of Role
The Junior IT
Functional Consultant will support the implementation, testing, training, and
support of business software solutions. The role
involves working with clients and internal teams to understand
business requirements, assist in configuring systems, perform testing
activities, and provide user support.
Job Description
- Assist in gathering and
documenting business requirements from clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in workshops, meetings,
and discussions to understand business processes.
- Support the translation of business
requirements into functional specifications.
- Assist in system configuration
and setup under the guidance of senior consultants.
- Help identify process
improvement opportunities and suggest practical solutions.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, and
test scenarios based on business requirements.
- Execute functional testing and
record test results and defects.
- Work with the technical team
to follow up on issue resolution.
- Support User Acceptance Testing
(UAT) activities with end-users.
- Assist in data migration
activities such as data collection, cleansing, and validation.
- Prepare user guides, training
materials, and other project documentation.
- Provide end-user training and
post-go-live support.
- Respond to user queries
and assist with basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain regular communication with
project team members and clients.
- Provide progress updates to senior consultants and Project Manager.
- Support project activities to help ensure timely delivery.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualification and
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information
Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a
related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in a
functional support, business analyst, ERP, HR, or IT-related
role.
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365
Finance & Operations, HR systems, accounting software, or other ERP
solutions is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Power BI or
SQL is considered a plus but not mandatory.
SKILLS &
COMPETENCIES
- Basic understanding of business
processes in Human Resources, Technology, Finance, or
Accounting.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong willingness to learn and
develop functional consulting skills.
- Good
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a
team environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving
mindset.
- Customer-focused with
attention to quality.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks
