Job Summary

Responsible for servicing, repair and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out engine overhauls, gearbox, clutch, brakes, suspension and general repairs
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain and service forklifts, trucks and light vehicles
  • Ensure proper use of tools and adherence to workshop safety procedures
  • Maintain service records and spare parts usage
  • Support breakdowns and roadside repairs when required

Minimum Qualification

  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or relevant field

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years experience as Auto Mechanic in transport, logistics or FMCG environment
  • Experience with diesel engines, trucks and refrigeration units is preferred

Key Skills

  • Hands-on experience with engine diagnostics and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Ability to read technical manuals and workshop manuals
  • Problem-solving and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license is an added advantage

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, lights, and sensors
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ECU, GPS trackers, and refrigeration truck electrical systems
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles as per schedule
  • Install accessories, radios, alarms, and electrical components
  • Read electrical diagrams and use diagnostic tools
  • Maintain job cards, spare parts records and report major breakdowns
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and workshop housekeeping

  • Team player with valid driver’s license added advantage
  • Hands-on experience with engine diagnostics and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Ability to read technical manuals and workshop manuals
  • Problem-solving and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license is an added advantage

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Auto Electrical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or relevant field
  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
