ABYS Trading PLC is the leading Manufacturing Company of Ethiopia which manufactures agriculture products both for local and international markets. It has been active since 2011 and exported over 40 high quality value added agricultural products which meet world relevant standards to three main destination countries such as America, Canada and Australia and other locations.  Moreover, it has distributed such products to local market. Nowadays, in line with government trade, marketing and development strategies, it strives to produce world class products of having high demand. This effort has allowed it to generate foreign currency and create job opportunity for 500 Ethiopian youths. Now it is seeking a qualified Automotive Technician. The will be responsible for coordinating the atuomotive operation (the team, material resource and the system). This role requires strong Service planning skills, the ability to engage in multitask, and a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Role/Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing of company vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, transmission, braking, and suspension system faults.
  • Conduct vehicle, Generators , Compressor, forklift inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • nsure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns and emergency repairs.
  • Conduct oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and fluid level checks
  • Test vehicles after repairs to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and the workshop clean and in good working condition.
  • Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns and provide emergency repair services when required.
  • Report major defects and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in planning preventive maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Repair and replace defective components such as engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension, steering, batteries, and electrical systems.
  • Minimize and effectively manage risks and use opportunities to improve performance

  • Ensure preparedness and response to emergency situations and accidents. Develop matured food safety culture of the management, employees and relevant interested parties.

  • Periodically monitor measure, analyze and evaluate the food safety management systems compliance and enhance performance. 

  • Continually validate, verify, review, improve and update the food safety management system for the continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the system. 

  • Establish, implement, document, maintain and continually improve the food safety management system (ISO 22000) in the operations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
