Planet Fitness has an aggressive digitization journey. This digitization journey requires IT Service Management and quality assurance review of the various configurations, setups, custom development, website refreshes, and App feature releases.
This role will in essence be matrixed into the, Product Manager and Business Enablement Manager. Its primary reporting structure would be the Business Enablement Manager. The role will partner closely with App Developers and SaaS Development teams to test and quality assure features releases to business and members.

This role is a senior technical lead role and in essence will be matrixed into the Product Manager and Business Enablement Manager. Its primary reporting structure would be the Business Enablement Manager.
Work Break Down Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for the following job functions:
- Quality Assurance Review (40%)
- Review all system feature changes, enhancements and upgrades and quality assessed feature against original FRD or specification
- Ensure all new feature development is quality assessed feature against original FRD or specification
- Report major deficiencies and quality standards to the respective Product Managers and development teams
- Review test criteria and first round testing undertaken by the development teams and Itensity test teams
- Develop and continuously maintain QA standards and guides
- Feature, Custom Development, Product Update Testing (30%)
- Guide, coach and lead the respective Itensity testers
- Review, test and finalise bugs, feature deviation reports for the developers
- Develop and maintain best practice test processes, guides and standards
- Quality Assurance Independence (20%)
- Partner with the Digital and IT Teams managers to review feature expectations and quality standards
- Ensure any and all quality assurance is free from developer bias and influence
- Provide review and feedback of testing in relation to test and acceptance criteria
- Introduce and use QA software and tools to automate testing and QA processes
- Project Management(10%)
- Lead and manage QA projects
- Lead and manage small to medium member management development projects
Experience and Exposure
The following minimum experience and exposure is needed for this role:
1) Experience in similar roles or with software QA and testing roles
2) Basic knowledge and understanding of IT and Software and App Development
3) Knoweldge and experience with software development models and lifecycles
Education
1) Degree or Diploma in IT
2) Grade 12
3) Relevant certifications and certificates
