Employment Information

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping and financial records for the micro-lending business.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
  • Calculate loan fees, interest charges, service fees, and initiation fees in line with company policy and applicable legislation.
  • Maintain accurate debtor and creditor ledgers, including arrears tracking and provisioning.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for leadership review.
  • Assist with VAT submissions, payroll processing, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors and assist in year-end financial close processes.
Requirements: 
  • Minimum 3 years’ bookkeeping experience within a micro-lending or short-term credit provider is a must.
  • Matric and relevant bookkeeping/accounting qualification (ICB or similar).
  • Strong understanding of loan product structures, fee schedules, and repayment cycles.
