This Bookkeeper/Financial Assistant will be reporting to the Managing Director. Supporting the financial administration of our client. This role offers practical, hands-on experience in financial systems, compliance, and funding structures within a professional non-profit arts organisation.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with bookkeeping and accurate financial record keeping
· Capture and maintain financial data using systems such as QuickBooks and Excel
· Support invoice processing, payments, and expense tracking
· Help compile and maintain an asset management register
· Assist with payroll administration, including salaries and related documentation
· Support the processing of government supplier management requirements, SARS e-filing, CCT database and BBBEE requirements, etc.
· Assist in drawing up quotes, contracts and invoices
· Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets for productions, projects and tours
· Help compile financial reports for funders, audits, and internal management
· Support grant compliance, including financial tracking and reporting requirements
· Assist with filing, record management, and financial documentation systems
· Provide general administrative support to the Managing Director as required
· Liaising with accountant and auditor
