Removal and replacement of brake drums, brake shoes, and
all related brake components on truck trailers
Servicing and maintenance of air brake systems, air
boosters, air valves, and pipes
Adjustment of wheel bearings
Inspection and replacement of torque arm bushes
Servicing of axles, springs, and trailer suspension
components
Diagnosing and troubleshooting brake and air system faults
on truck trailers
Full servicing and maintenance of trailer running gear and
suspension below deck
Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop
environment
Relevant trade qualification or certification in
brake fitting or heavy vehicle mechanics
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience
specifically in truck trailer brake systems
Extensive practical knowledge of air brake
systems on truck trailers
Experience with S-Cam bushes, slack
adjusters, and torque arm bushes
Strong knowledge of the entire trailer running
suspension below deck
Ability to work independently and meet
production deadlines
Physically fit and able to handle demanding
Strong attention to detail and commitment to
safety and quality
