Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion in the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships, and manage existing partnerships to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.The focus is primarily Long-Term Insurance, specifically Credit Life Insurance, Group Funeral Cover, and Employer Groups.
Responsibilities: - Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the insurance market; develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth; build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and partners
- Manage existing business and identify cross-selling opportunities; collaborate with underwriting and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery; provide excellent customer service and support
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments; analyze market data to inform business decisions; identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities
- Develop marketing and promotional materials to support sales efforts; collaborate with marketing team to create targeted campaigns; represent the company at industry events and conferences
Requirements:- 3+ years of experience in insurance business development or insurance sales
- Strong understanding of insurance products, markets, and regulations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and achieving revenue growth
- Analytical and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Relevant insurance certifications (e.g. RE 5, RE 1) preferred
