Position: Cashier
Location: Lilongwe, Malawi
About the Position
Maranet Trading Company is seeking a trustworthy, organised, and detail-oriented Cashier to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer payments, issuing receipts, maintaining accurate cash records, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process cash, mobile money, bank card, and other customer payments.
- Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and maintain accurate cash records.
- Reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve payment-related queries.
- Adhere to all company financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must possess an ICAM Diploma with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Must have not less than 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Those with a Degree in Accounting have an added advantage.
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
