Role Overview:
- Chinese English Translator Jobs in Lusaka The Chinese–English Translator / Interpreter will play a critical role in facilitating communication across language and cultural barriers.
- The successful candidate will support daily business interactions, translate important documents, and provide on-site interpretation to ensure clarity and efficiency in all dealings.
Key Responsibilities Provide accurate on-site interpretation between Mandarin and English during business activities, including customer reception, supplier negotiations, communication with local authorities, and staff management.
Translate commercial documents such as invoices, contracts, product specifications, notices, and internal company materials with precision. Assist in daily office administration tasks, including preparing meeting minutes and following up on work-related issues.
Facilitate effective cross-cultural communication between Chinese management and local Zambian employees, clients, and vendors. Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support business operations.
Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university is required. Fluency in both spoken and written Mandarin and English, with strong interpretation and translation skills.
Excellent communication abilities, patience, responsibility, and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
Previous experience in trading, hardware, construction, or African business environments is advantageous. Ability to work on-site in Lusaka and commitment to long-term employment.
