Natwecraft Investments is seeking Civil Engineering Technicians to support sewer and water infrastructure works on land development projects. The role involves setting out pipelines, checking installation standards, recording tests and maintaining technical project records.
Duties and responsibilities
• Set out, level and survey routes for water and sewer pipelines.
• Carry out reticulation works according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Check gradients, invert levels, pipe bedding and backfilling.
• Conduct and document sewer water or air tests and water-main pressure tests.
• Measure completed works and maintain quantities and progress records.
• Monitor the use of pipes, fittings and other materials against approved budgets.
• Prepare as-built drawings and technical documentation.
• Produce weekly and monthly technical reports.
• Assist with project schedules and programmes of works.
Qualifications
• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a reputable polytechnic.
• At least five years’ post-qualification experience in land development, specifically sewer and water reticulation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to collaborate with the Site Manager, plumber and other project personnel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work anywhere in Zimbabwe.
