Responsibilities:
  • Manage a proactive, effective and beneficial relationship with key stakeholders through planned activities and interactions.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of issues / response to feedback in line with The Company’s CFM Mechanism.
  • Support the HCDTs to guide community-level institutions in executing social investment projects/programs.
  • Supervise and oversight mentoring NGOs working with the GMoU officials.
  • Liaise with the Company’s SP/SI team to ensure that all community relations, social Investment activities and production operations in the oil field/Asset are in line with The Company’s CR policies and guidelines and in compliance with the HSSE-SP Control Framework.
  • Coordinate and be custodian of all community relations information and data including the power maps, stakeholder management plan and detailed profile of each community, issues identification, management and resolution in the Hub.
  • Facilitate smooth entry for major contractors and secure/sustain CTSs for operational activities, project and Well Engineering teams to ensure hitch-free access to work sites and facilities while ensuring full compliance with all relevant ECC requirements including the community payments cashless policy
  • Ensure all the community accounts are up-to-date and pass bank verification tests.Validate status of all traditional rulers against agreed criteria to determine appropriate categorization (‘GO’or‘Non-GO’).
  • Facilitate community content delivery and ensure that communities in the district derive optimum benefits from the opportunities offered by the Nigerian Content Act and related legislations.
  • Act as CR representative in the field team / location ensuring strict adherence to policies, processes, guidelines and the general control framework for stakeholder engagement / impact management.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution
  • A minimum of 7 years with demonstrable track record as a strategic, creative and collaborative professional with several years of  industry experience. 
  • An active self-starter who is quick to learn with flair for managing difficult conversations.
  • Ability to integrate and collaborate across boundaries (CR/Hub/Finance/Legal/Projects, community and government organs, etc.)to maximize commercial value for the Company.
  • Proven record of capacity to deliver with determination, discipline, transparency, simplicity and speed in a complex environment.
  • Proven experience with SP/SI in operations and/or projects.
  • Ability to develop strong trusted relationships with external parties to deliver reputational gain, FTO, CTS C SLTO to support business delivery for The Company
  • A learner mindset: being a role model in your levels of curiosity and reflection and encouraging people to learn from their mistakes and successes.
  • Considerable appreciation of the socio-economic and political dynamics of the Niger Delta host communities, value drivers, culture and engagement approach.
