KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Achieving Zamara’s ambitious strategic priorities will be complex and challenging. Its continued success will be dependent on building and retaining a world-class team.
  • We are looking to onboard a Content and Production Officer to support the execution of video, multimedia, and content initiatives while driving PR, internal communications and media engagement across owned, earned and paid channels. The role ensures consistent storytelling, strong stakeholder visibility, and timely delivery of content.

Key Responsibilities include:

Content Production & Delivery 40%

  • Coordinate video and multimedia production from brief to final delivery
  • Support execution of shoots, edits and post-production processes
  • Ensure outputs align to brand standards and campaign objective

PR, Media & Stakeholder Engagement 30%

  • Support development and execution of PR plans for campaigns and key initiatives
  • Liaise with media to secure and manage earned coverage, including interviews and feature placements
  • Develop and support thought leadership content op-eds, blogs, articles for both the business and key spokespeople
  • Assist in drafting press releases, press packs, media briefs and internal communications
  • Coordinate content across owned channels website, social, internal platforms and support paid amplification where required
  • Track media coverage and maintain up-to-date media contact lists
  • Support internal engagement initiatives townhalls, campaigns, employee storytelling
  • Provide support in crisis communication readiness and response monitoring, drafting holding statements, coordinating internal and external messaging across online and offline channels

Project Coordination & Pipeline Management 15%

  • Track content and campaign pipeline across multiple projects
  • Maintain clear status updates in progress, scheduled, not started
  • Ensure alignment to marketing calendar and delivery timelines

Vendor & Creative Support 10%

  • Coordinate with external creatives, production partners, and media partners
  • Support briefing, feedback, and approvals processes
  • Monitor quality and adherence to scope

Content Asset Management & Reporting 5%

  • Organize and maintain content libraries and backups cloud + physical
  • Provide basic reporting on content delivery, PR coverage, and timelines
  • Flag risks, delays, and gaps early

KEY DELIVERABLES 

  • Timely delivery of video coverage and edits, multimedia and campaign content
  • Consistent PR coverage, thought leadership outputs and media engagement
  • Published articles, op-eds, and blogs supporting business positioning
  • Up-to-date production and media tracker
  • Organized, accessible content and media asset repository

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

The following experience is preferred:

  • Degree/Diploma in Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, PR or related field
  • 3–5 years’ experience in content production, PR, or agency/in-house marketing roles
  • Experience in media relations, content writing, and thought leadership development
  • Exposure to video/multimedia production workflows is an added advantage

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES 

  • Strong coordination and execution capability
  • Solid understanding of PR, media relations, and content creation and distribution channels
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills editorial + corporate tone
  • Stakeholder and vendor management
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
