Job Description

  • As a Contract Manager, you play a key role in delivering high-quality services to our clients in line with contractual agreements. 
  • You ensure smooth execution across managerial, operational and technical aspects, while keeping a strong focus on client satisfaction and solid financial performance.
  • Throughout the contract lifecycle, you act as a trusted partner—driving efficiency, maintaining oversight, and ensuring outcomes that meet both client expectations and business goals.

Responsibilities

Your activities will be among others:

  • Ensure that operations are performed in a professional, efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationship with the Client.
  • Make sure that the contractual obligations are met to the full satisfaction of the customer.
  • Conduct regular performance review meetings on basis of pre-agreed performance parameters.
  • Ensure all operations are undertaken in a safe and secure manner and in full compliance with the company’s SLIMS policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all operational and vessel personnel comply with all relevant regulations as well as Operational and SHEQ policies and procedures and that non-compliance is analyzed, evaluated and corrective/preventive actions are swiftly being taken.
  • In close cooperation with HR you will provide a dequate training and development of all staff under responsibility.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals of shore staff, Captains working on board the tugs in the contract and appraisal of chief engineers along with the technical department.
  • Provide input to annual budgets and monthly/quarterly performance reports and monitor the financial performance of the contract and ensure the contract budget is being achieved.

Your qualities:

  • For this position we are looking for a candidate who already lives in Nigeria.
  • Relevant marine operating experience.
  • Sea-going experience as Master or Chief Officer .
  • In-depth understanding and experience of Marine Industry and Terminal Operations.
  • Onshore management experience.
