Costing and Product Data Supervisor

REPORTING TO THE COSTING & DATA MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead the Costing and Product Data team, ensuring accurate standard and non-standard product costing, and maintaining complete, high-quality product data in compliance with governance standards. To provide actionable insights through costing analysis to support pricing, profitability, and operational efficiency
JOB FUNCTION:
• Cost Management & Analysis Ensure accurate product costing by comparing costs to selling prices, identifying variances, and providing actionable feedback to Sales. Develop and maintain costing tools, formulae, and time studies to support pricing accuracy and profitability.
• Product Data Management Oversee the accuracy, completeness, and governance of product master data, including SKUs, BOMs, routings, and descriptions. Maintain data integrity across ERP systems (JDE and Vault and OnBase) and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Administration & Commercial Support Perform variance analysis and maintain customer pricing sheets. Support sales and commercial teams with contract and proposal costing, delivering detailed cost breakdowns to assess profitability and support decision-making.
• Reporting & Insights Produce regular operational and costing reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines. Analyse trends and anomalies to provide management with clear insights that support cost control and operational efficiency.
• Team Leadership & Supervision Lead and develop the Costing and Product Data team by managing performance, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting day-to-day operations. Build capability through coaching, clear role alignment, and structured development
