About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly organised and detail-oriented Cross Border Logistics Controller to coordinate and monitor the movement of vehicles and freight across Southern Africa. The successful candidate will ensure efficient route planning, border clearance coordination, customer communication, and on-time deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor cross-border vehicle movements.
- Ensure all transport documentation is complete and accurate.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, clearing agents, and border authorities.
- Track loads and provide regular status updates to customers.
- Resolve operational challenges and delays at border posts.
- Monitor vehicle utilisation and turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with customs and transport regulations.
- Capture and maintain accurate operational records and reports.
- Manage PODs (Proof of Deliveries) and trip documentation.
- Assist with route planning and load scheduling.
Minimum Requirements- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Diploma or qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transport Management advantageous.
- 2–5 years' experience in transport or logistics coordination.
- Experience dealing with cross-border operations within SADC countries.
- Knowledge of customs and border clearance procedures.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and transport management system experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
