Key Responsibilities for Cross-Border Truck Drivers Operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers for cross-border transportation of goods. Ensure safe handling and timely delivery of cargo to designated destinations.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee roadworthiness. Report any mechanical faults promptly to maintenance teams.
Manage transportation documentation, including delivery notes and cross-border clearance paperwork. Comply with all road traffic laws, customs regulations, and international transport requirements.
Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation. Communicate effectively with transport coordinators regarding delivery status, delays, or challenges.
Uphold professionalism, discipline, and a strong commitment to road safety at all times. Qualifications and Experience Required At least 2 years of proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks, with a focus on cross-border routes.
Valid Driver’s Licence including CE and D&G categories. Demonstrated knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
Ability to conduct basic vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues. Familiarity with cross-border transportation procedures and routes is an advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, disciplined, honest, and safety-conscious work ethic.
Willingness to work flexible hours and undertake extended travel periods.
