This full-time role involves overseeing customs clearance procedures to ensure shipments move smoothly and comply fully with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities in Customs Clearing and Forwarding Jobs in Lusaka Capture and register customs declarations accurately on ASYCUDA World (ZRA), ensuring all details correspond with supporting documentation.

Prepare and process import and export documentation and declarations promptly. Classify goods under the correct HS codes and maintain thorough classification records.

Calculate and verify customs duties, taxes, and fees with precision. Coordinate closely with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA), ports, shipping lines, transporters, warehouses, and clients.

Track shipments continuously and provide timely status updates to stakeholders. Investigate and resolve clearance delays, discrepancies, and exceptions efficiently.

Adhere strictly to customs, trade, and company procedures while maintaining accurate records. Respond professionally to client enquiries, fostering strong customer relationships.

Candidate Requirements Diploma or Advanced Certificate in customs clearing and forwarding, logistics, supply chain management, international trade, or a related discipline. Minimum of three years’ experience in customs clearing, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.

Proficient knowledge of customs documentation, declarations, tariff classification, and tax calculations. Competent user of ASYCUDA World, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and shipment tracking software.

Highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain composure under pressure. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
