Job Details

Duties:

  • Lead and manage workshop teams across both brand service portfolios, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff
  • Drive productivity, efficiency, and profitability across both service departments
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance in line with OEM standards for each brand
  • Manage daily workshop operations, workflow planning, and job prioritisation
  • Build strong customer relationships and resolve service-related concerns effectively
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and OEM requirements
  • Oversee parts coordination, inventory control, and workshop supply efficiency
  • Monitor and manage WIP, labour recovery, CSI, and service performance metrics
  • Prepare and present operational, financial, and performance reports to senior management
  • Identify training needs and develop team capability across both workshop environments
  • Ensure effective communication between OEM stakeholders, internal teams, and customers
  • Maintain strong control over service bookings, job costing, and administrative accuracy
Requirements:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Red Seal Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Minimum 6+ years’ experience in a dealership service/workshop environment
  • At least 2–3 years in a Service Manager or Senior Foreman role
  • Strong understanding of OEM service processes and workshop operations
  • Experience managing WIP, CSI, labour efficiency, and workshop profitability
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development ability
  • Excellent customer relationship and conflict resolution skills
  • PC literate – experience with CMS / Dealer Management Systems (Evolve or similar)
  • Strong financial and operational acumen within aftersales
  • Valid driver’s license (non-endorsed)
  • Clean criminal record and medically fit
  • Must reside within West Rand / Roodepoort area
