Depot Manager

Job Overview An established courier and logistics operation is seeking an experienced and hands-on Depot Manager in Port Shepstone to oversee daily depot operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing drivers, operational staff, fleet coordination, service delivery standards, and branch oversight. This role requires a strong leader with excellent operational management experience within the courier industry. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily depot operations. Supervise approximately 12 operational staff members. Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and on schedule. Monitor vehicle usage, driver performance, fuel consumption, and route planning. Oversee operations at the Kokstad branch and provide direction to the branch supervisor. Ensure operational compliance with company procedures and client service standards. Maintain high service delivery standards within the South Coast operational area. Handle staff attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance management. Resolve operational issues and customer escalations effectively. Ensure depot cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. Prepare operational reports and communicate with management regularly. Be available for overtime and occasional weekend operational requirements. Minimum Requirements Minimum Grade 12 / Matric. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the courier or logistics industry Valid Code 8 License.
