Job Description:

• Lead and oversee multidisciplinary engineering, design, and drafting activities across multiple projects
• Coordinate engineering resources to ensure deliverables are achieved within schedule and budget requirements
• Provide technical leadership throughout the design lifecycle, from studies through to detailed engineering
• Review, guide, and approve engineering designs, calculations, and design developments
• Monitor team performance and provide ongoing support, feedback, and mentorship
• Ensure adherence to engineering procedures, design standards, quality requirements, and change management processes
• Promote safety-in-design principles and technical integrity across all engineering activities
• Manage project progress and provide regular reporting to project stakeholders
• Drive collaboration across disciplines to achieve efficient and effective project execution
• Mentor engineers and designers, supporting professional growth and succession planning initiatives
• Identify and implement innovative engineering solutions and continuous improvement opportunities
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions within agreed timeframes and budgets

Skills & Experience:

• 15+ years' experience in mineral processing or related heavy industrial sectors
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering and design teams
• Strong understanding of engineering studies, project execution, detailed design, and operational challenges
• Excellent project planning, resource management, and coordination skills
• Strong knowledge of risk management and engineering governance processes
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement effectively
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team development capabilities
• Strong commercial awareness and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
• Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and new technologies
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally when required

Qualification:

• BEng / BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr Eng) or equivalent
