We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Distribution Centre Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our distribution centre and ensure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics coordination, staff supervision, and continuous process improvement to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
The Distribution Centre Manager will lead a team responsible for receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, and dispatch activities. The role requires strong leadership, operational planning, and analytical skills to optimise productivity, maintain high service standards, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and drive operational excellence across the distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily distribution centre operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure stock accuracy and availability.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare operational reports.
- Lead, train, and motivate distribution centre staff to achieve performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, sales, and customer service teams.
- Manage distribution centre budgets and resource allocation.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant operational software.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
