ROLE PURPOSE

The role will be to guide business leadership, as a strategic people partner during the design and delivery of a distinctive people plan that attracts talent, empowers, develops and retains its people

MAIN OUTPUTS
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations employees through talent management particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Develop and implement people management talent strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Provide support and guidance to management and staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which include advertising of vacancies, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified and experienced applicants
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for talent acquisition
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in people management, talent management, and employee relations (ER)
  • Educate the business and manage a fair performance management appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Maintain People Management procedures that comply with labor regulations and our policies
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Ensure that our vacancies matrix is updated accurately
  • Recruit in line with our budgets but also ensuring that the business saves costs
  • Ensure talent acquisition is in line with our Employment Equity (EE) business targets
  • Manage our talent pool efficiently by engaging with managing executive
  • Ensure performance contracts are in place for the Inland division
  • Manage and improve our succession plan strategy in line with our talent pool

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
  • Bachelors’ Degree / Bcom in Human Resources Management or Psychology
  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • Valid Driver’s License and Own Vehicle
  • 5 years relevant experience in leadership role
  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level),
