About the Role:
Drainage Civil Works Supervisor Jobs in NorthWestern Province Zambia As a Drainage / Civil Works Supervisor, you will take charge of site-based construction activities, ensuring the successful execution and rehabilitation of stormwater drainage systems.
Your expertise will be critical in maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety throughout all phases of the projects. Key Responsibilities Supervise construction and rehabilitation of stormwater drains and channels, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
Interpret construction drawings and accurately set out works on site. Verify levels, falls, and gradients to guarantee effective drainage flow.
Operate surveying equipment including dumpy, automatic, and laser levels to support precise measurements. Oversee earthworks, excavation, concrete placement, and general civil construction activities.
Coordinate construction teams, monitor workmanship quality, and enforce corrective actions when necessary. Promote and enforce safe working practices, particularly around excavators and other heavy machinery.
Candidate Requirements Proven practical experience in drainage construction, rehabilitation, and civil works supervision. Competency in reading technical drawings and performing accurate site setting out.
Familiarity with surveying equipment and a strong understanding of drainage gradients and channel profiles. Meticulous attention to detail combined with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
