We invite experienced and responsible individuals to apply for the full-time Driver position within our Human Capital Department, based in Lusaka, Zambia.
About the Driver Role The Driver will play a critical role in providing safe, timely, and efficient transportation and logistics support to the Human Capital and Finance departments, as well as other business units as needed.
This position requires maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with all road safety regulations while transporting employees, visitors, documents, and company assets. Key Responsibilities for Driver Jobs in Lusaka Safely transport employees, visitors, and company property to designated locations.
Ensure prompt collection and delivery of documents, parcels, and other company materials. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and roadworthiness of the assigned vehicle.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance needs promptly. Coordinate scheduled servicing and maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Keep all vehicle documentation up to date, including licenses, insurance, and road tax. Plan efficient travel routes to minimize delays and ensure punctuality.
Strictly adhere to traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies. Practice defensive driving and proactively identify potential road safety risks.
Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities. Support company meetings, workshops, events, and other activities requiring transport services.
Report any accidents, incidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage according to company procedures. Ensure the security and confidentiality of company information and assets during transportation.
Maintain a professional appearance and courteous conduct when interacting with all stakeholders. Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications and Experience Full Grade 12 School Certificate. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Three to five years of professional driving experience, preferably within a corporate environment. Good knowledge of Lusaka’s local routes, road networks, and traffic regulations.
Demonstrated accident-free driving record is advantageous. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Trade Test or Craft Certificate in Motor Mechanics or related field is a plus. Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
