Duties & Responsibilities

• Panel and equipment wiring for the manufacture of new equipment.
• Panel and equipment wiring for upgraded equipment.
• On-site field service for both new and existing equipment.
• Local electrical installation for both new and existing equipment.
• Electrical maintenance for all company equipment.
• Electrical and system upgrades for company equipment and infrastructure.
• Manufacturing of thermocouples and heat fuses
• Local commissioning of new and upgraded equipment.
• Productivity – follow formal/written and informal/verbal instructions and procedures as the above processes may change.
• Ensure that good housekeeping practices are followed.
• Health and Safety – wear the protective equipment issued to you while working.
• Follow any lawful instruction required by management.
• International/Local commissioning and field service – as required for commissioning and on-site work.
• Ensure all equipment issued to you needed for jobs and projects are kept safe.

• Job-specific knowledge with a minimum qualification of N3 level with necessary Red Seal qualification as an Electrician.
• Panel wiring experience is a must.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the relevant field.
• Basic proficiency in relevant technical tools or systems necessary for the role.
• Ability to work as a team member and participate in projects that involve or impact the entire company.
• Customer service orientation and emphasis on results, diplomacy, multitasking and priority setting.
• An understanding of manufacturing processes and technical knowledge.
• Using and maintaining power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and product user manuals.

• The ability to read and write in English (Matric)
• Good practical skills.

• Attention to detail.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to perform work duties on his/her own or in a team.
• Must perform duties according to the Health and Safety standards.
• Must work according to Quality Control Systems.
• Must be able to work overtime to get projects completed if required.
