Engineer Electrical

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical Engineering (Applications from qualified engineers only)
• Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is essential
• 5 to 10 years of design and project experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Reticmaster/Powamaster, AutoCAD, Dialux, and Ulysse
• Familiarity with construction contracts such as GCC, JBCC, NEC, and others is advantageous
• Sound knowledge of SANS building standards, including those specific to health facilities and systems

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Electrical Building Services – experience in Residential, Retail, Commercial, Institutional, and Medical design will be advantageous
• Electronic Building Services – including Access Control, Fire Detection, Building Management Systems (BMS), and CCTV
• Design and implementation of energy-saving and energy management solutions
• Commercial & Industrial (C&I) – rooftop photovoltaic (PV), ground-mounted solar projects, and energy storage; experience with HelioScope and PVSyst simulations is preferred
• Ability to manage projects independently from inception to completion
• Efficient working without supervision whilst coordinating inputs from specialists
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong technical report writing capabilities
• Resilience and ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments
