Employment Information

  • We are seeking a proactive and experienced Estate Management and Land Acquisition Expert to identify, evaluate, acquire, and manage land assets that support the Company's real estate development objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting land searches, coordinating due diligence, engaging with landowners and government agencies, managing property documentation, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate suitable land opportunities for acquisition.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and market assessments.
  • Coordinate land acquisition processes from negotiation to completion.
  • Carry out title verification, land searches, and due diligence.
  • Liaise with government agencies, surveyors, legal practitioners, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Process and monitor land documentation, including Certificates of Occupancy C of O, Governor's Consent, Deeds of Assignment, and other statutory approvals.
  • Manage the Company's land bank and maintain accurate property records.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant land laws, planning regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor existing property assets and provide recommendations for effective estate management.
  • Resolve land-related disputes and support conflict resolution where necessary.
  • Prepare reports on land acquisitions, estate management activities, and project progress.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support project planning and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Estate Management, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant experience in estate management, land acquisition, or real estate development.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian land administration systems and property laws.
  • Experience in land title verification, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of GIS and property management software is an added advantage.
  • Professional membership with the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers NIESV, ESVARBON, or other relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
