POSITION: EXCAVATOR / HEAVY-DUTY MECHANIC

Kuma Investments is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator / Heavy-Duty Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment at its operations in Chipata, Zambia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect, service and repair excavators and other heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
• Maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems and related components.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Maintain service records and report equipment defects.
• Observe workshop and site safety procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years of relevant heavy-duty mechanical experience.
• Practical experience maintaining or repairing excavators.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Relevant mechanical qualification or demonstrable technical competence.
• Ability to identify faults and carry out repairs safely.

Duty Station: Chipata, Zambia.
