As a Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the company’s financial operations and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities for Finance Assistant Jobs in Lusaka Prepare accurate journal entries and maintain comprehensive accounting records.
Support cash management activities, including bank and cash reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external use.
Manage payroll processing, preparing documentation for review and approval. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory obligations, and internal financial policies.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Diploma in Accounting/Accountancy, ZiCA Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business, or an equivalent recognized accounting qualification. Membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZiCA) is mandatory.
At least one year of relevant accounting experience in a professional setting. Preferred Additional Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
ZiCA CA Application Advanced Diploma, ACCA Advanced Diploma, or higher professional accounting qualifications. Essential Skills and Attributes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality in handling financial data. Experience with Zoho Books accounting software is a distinct advantage.
