The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the full finance function of the organisation, ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing strategic financial insight to support business decision-making. The role includes leading a finance team, managing cash flow and working capital, driving financial controls, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. The Finance Manager will also play a key role in supporting operational efficiency and maintaining strong financial governance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Full finance function management (AP, AR, GL, cashbook)
- Monthly management accounts, budgeting & reporting
- Statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, etc.)
- Cash flow and working capital management
- Stock, costing, and variance analysis
- Debtors & creditors oversight
- Financial systems management (Syspro advantageous)
- Team supervision and development
- Internal controls, audits, and risk management
- Support strategic and operational financial decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA(SA) preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management, preferably within manufacturing or costing-intensive environments.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Syspro and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and governance frameworks.
