Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the full finance function of the organisation, ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing strategic financial insight to support business decision-making. The role includes leading a finance team, managing cash flow and working capital, driving financial controls, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. The Finance Manager will also play a key role in supporting operational efficiency and maintaining strong financial governance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Full finance function management (AP, AR, GL, cashbook)
• Monthly management accounts, budgeting & reporting
• Statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, etc.)
• Cash flow and working capital management
• Stock, costing, and variance analysis
• Debtors & creditors oversight
• Financial systems management (Syspro advantageous)
• Team supervision and development
• Internal controls, audits, and risk management
• Support strategic and operational financial decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA(SA) preferred).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management, preferably within manufacturing or costing-intensive environments.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Syspro and advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
• Solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and governance frameworks.
