Qualifications
Minimum BSc in Accounting from a recognized academic institution.

Responsibilities
1. Finance & Budgeting
Develop budgeting methodology and assist other managers in preparing their budgets and reports, and consolidate the same.
Liaise with the Programme Manager and other senior staff on the preparation of programme budgets.
Make recommendations on updating financial procedures and policies and disseminate any changes to all relevant staff.
Operate and maintain ECD bank accounts in liaison with the Director.
Maintain accounting books, systems, and accounting packages.
Manage reconciliations and audit requirements.
Ensure compliance with ECD accounting policies and procedures, as well as statutory requirements.
2. Financial Requirements
Forecast cash flow requirements.
Check bank reconciliation statements to keep track of balances.
Review financial reports prepared by the Accounts Assistants.
Coordinate audit activities, as well as accounts payable and receivable.
Supervise the management of programme and project accounts.
Track the financial progress of projects and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
Check financial and administrative procedures such as payroll, bookkeeping, insurance, budgeting and cost control, personnel policies, and accounting functions.
