Employment Information

Responsibilities:

  • Grant & Fund Management: Track, monitor, and report on restricted funds and specific grants. Ensure expenditures align with donor regulations and budget milestones.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop annual organisational budgets and project-specific budgets. Provide regular cash flow forecasts and variance analyses.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Present clear financial insights to non-financial stakeholders and the Board of Directors.
  • Compliance & Audit Preparation: Manage the annual independent audit and tax return filings. Ensure adherence to GAAP and local legal or tax-exempt status requirements.
  • Day-to-Day Accounting: Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and internal financial controls. Maintain the chart of accounts and accounting systems.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years in non-profit finance, accounting, or grants management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration. ACA certification is essentially required.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel and experience with accounting/fund-accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Familiarity with funder regulations (e.g., UN, USAID, EU, or localised foundation rules).
  • Excellent communication, cross-team collaboration, and strategic problem-solving abilities.
