Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven professional to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our Microfinance Bank in Ibadan.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in microfinance banking operations, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and system utilization, with the ability to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily branch operations to ensure efficiency and service excellence
  • Supervise transaction processing, ensuring accuracy in postings and record-keeping
  • Ensure proper use and management of Microfinance Banking software systems
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity position, and vault operations
  • Ensure accurate posting of transactions and reconciliation of accounts
  • Prepare and submit timely financial and regulatory reports
  • Handle CBN returns, NDIC reports, and other statutory filings in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all financial activities
  • Ensure strict adherence to CBN guidelines, NDIC regulations, and internal policies
  • Monitor compliance with operational and credit procedures
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies when required
  • Coordinate activities with internal and external auditors
  • Ensure timely resolution of audit queries and implementation of recommendations
  • Identify operational and financial risks and implement appropriate controls
  • Supervise and guide branch staff to achieve operational and business targets
  • Ensure staff adherence to policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities within the branch
  • Support business growth initiatives and customer service delivery
  • Ensure proper onboarding and management of customers
  • Monitor branch performance and provide regular updates to management.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with core Microfinance Banking experience, with strong operational exposure
  • ICAN is an added advantage
  • Proven experience in using Microfinance Banking Software e.g., BankOne, Microfin, NCube, Qlik bank, or similar platforms
  • Strong knowledge of; Transaction posting and reconciliation, Regulatory reporting CBN, NDIC and Financial controls and audit processes
  • Good understanding of microfinance operations, credit processes, and compliance frameworks
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
