What You'll Do:

  • Lead the financial management function within the business unit or division

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls

  • Guarantee compliance with legislation and IFRS for SME standards

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and treasury activities

  • Support the CFO in driving financial performance

  • Apply sound financial management principles within a manufacturing setting

  • Manage financial controlling of business units including budgets, costs, cash flow, and working capital

  • Prepare business budget plans and management reports

  • Maintain financial records such as ledgers, receivables, payables, inventory, payroll, and expenses

  • Coordinate and support internal processes for compliance and risk management

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, IFRS for SME, and King Code

  • Manage tax requirements and queries

  • Review fixed asset register and reconciliations

  • Support internal and external audits

  • Provide financial insights for operational decision-making

  • Oversee product costing, variance analysis, and inventory records

  • Support operational teams with financial insights

  • Manage divisional budgets and overhead costs

  • Improve finance processes in collaboration with change management initiatives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of 5 to 8 years in financial management, ideally within manufacturing

  • Must have a BCom Accountancy, Financial Accounting, Management Accountancy / Post Graduate in Accountancy/ Honours In Financial Accounting

  • MCom Management Accounting and Financial Management - Advantageous

  • Must be Registered with SAICA/CIMA/SAIPA

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting

  • Excellent management and leadership skills

  • Deep understanding of compliance management, treasury management, and IFRS standards

  • Ability to manage complex financial processes and systems

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with IFRS for SME standards

  • Experience with management of inventories and fixed assets
