Role Overview and Location This internship is based at Kansanshi Mining Plc, where graduate trainees will rotate through various departments including Engineering, Process, Smelter Process and Engineering, Mining Operations, Environmental, Human Resources, Commercial, and more.
The program aims to equip participants with the skills needed to excel in their chosen discipline by providing practical experience in real operational settings.
Key Responsibilities Engage in structured on-the-job training across multiple departments following a development plan Support daily operations and contribute to departmental projects Perform research, data analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making Collaborate with senior staff and multidisciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and company policies Participate in mentorship and training sessions to foster continuous professional development Propose innovative solutions to improve business processes and outcomes Qualifications and Experience Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
Mining Engineering Metallurgy Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Human Resource Management or related field Supply Chain Management or related field Environmental and Natural Resource Management While no prior work experience is required, internships or practical exposure in mining operations will be advantageous.
