Front Desk Assistant
Job Summary
Kardia Holdings, a construction group based in Eastlea, Harare, is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Front Desk Assistant. The incumbent will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, manage the reception area, and provide administrative and basic sales support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office. The role involves working closely with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to deliver a professional and welcoming front-office experience.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist visitors, clients, and suppliers in a courteous and professional manner
Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls, and respond to general enquiries
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, deliveries, and couriers
Maintain a tidy, organised, and presentable reception and office area
Schedule appointments, manage the meeting calendar, and book boardrooms
Maintain accurate visitor records and office registers
Prepare quotations and invoices, and follow up with clients on outstanding enquiries
Provide general sales support, including responding to customer requests and capturing orders
Provide administrative support such as filing, data capture, and document preparation
Coordinate with internal departments to relay messages and support office operations
Assist with basic procurement of office supplies and monitor stock levels
Required Skills and Qualifications
A Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Office Administration, Secretarial Studies, Sales/Marketing, or a related field
At least 2 years’ proven experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative role
General sales skills, including preparing quotations and invoices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional telephone manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Well-organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
