VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association (EWNRA) is a non-political, non-religious, and not-for-profit local civil society organization working in areas of sustainable wetland/ natural resources management, livelihoods improvement and poverty reduction with an aim to achieve the dual goals of environment and development in Ethiopia. EWNRA in a partner and with financial support from Menschen für Menschen Switzerland is in a process to start the implementation of project entitled: “Integrated Actions for Building Resilient Communities in Hambela Wamena District, West Guji Zone, and Oromia Region, Ethiopia”.
In order to facilitate the implementation, EWNRA is looking for competent and well experienced applicants to fill the following vacant post.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with and reporting to the Project Coordinator, the Gender and Family Planning Officer will be in charge of project activities to be implemented within local communities at the project intervention kebeles. She is responsible for field level implementation of the envisaged project activities designed for the target communities. Work in close collaboration with local community members. Responsible for implementation of the project activities, focused on family planning, PHE-L Integration and provide training, establish and support PHE clubs, involve in PHE-L integration discussions and undertake environment related activities. Responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual reports for the activities undertaken within the woredas and kebeles.
Number required: 1 (one)
Duty station: Dimtu Town, Hambela Wamena District; with frequent travel to kebeles where Project Intervention Cooperatives and Kebeles are located
Salary: As per the organization’s scale
Terms of employment: Three years contract based on successful performance.
Language requirement: speaking and understanding the local language is mandatory.
