About the Farm Worker Jobs in Lusaka West This role is physically demanding and requires individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and willing to reside on the farm for extended periods. Candidates will play a vital role in maintaining poultry houses, managing landscaping tasks, and supporting various farm activities to ensure smooth and hygienic operations.
Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain poultry houses, including layer chicken facilities. Remove poultry manure and clean floors, cages, and surrounding areas.
Support general poultry farm activities while upholding hygiene standards. Perform gardening tasks such as grass cutting, weeding, watering, and landscaping.
Maintain cleanliness of the farm compound and surrounding areas. Assist with planting, digging, clearing, and other agricultural duties.
Load, unload, and transport farm materials, feed, and supplies. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Farm Manager.
Candidate Requirements Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor. Hardworking, honest, disciplined, and dependable.
Willing to live on the farm for extended durations. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
Prepared to undertake cleaning, poultry care, and gardening tasks. No formal agricultural qualifications required.
Preferred Experience Previous work experience on a poultry farm, especially with layer birds. Experience in gardening, landscaping, or general farm work.
Basic understanding of poultry house cleaning and farm hygiene practices. Salary and Benefits Salary aligned with the Zambian statutory minimum wage for General Workers.
