A well-established, high-volume seafood restaurant in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Head Chef to take the reins of their kitchen operation.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for the full kitchen function, from menu development and daily service to team management and cost control. The ideal candidate is confident running a busy kitchen, maintains high standards under pressure, and knows how to get the best out of their team.
- Leading and managing the kitchen brigade across all sections.
-Managing stock, conducting regular stock takes and minimizing wastage.
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
- Ensuring full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Training, mentoring and performance managing kitchen staff.
- Working closely with management on budgets and food cost targets.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar - Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership role
- Solid understanding of food costing, stock control and ordering.
- Strong knowledge of seafood and the ability to work with a variety of preparations.
