Job Description Assistant Lodge & Reserve Management Couple / Head Guide required for Intimate Boutique Safari Lodge – Waterberg, Limpopo Key Responsibilities: HIM: Head Field Guide / Assistant Reserve Manager Host guests, conduct guided game drives and bush walks. Ensure guest safety and deliver exceptional guiding experiences. Assist with reserve management, including habitat monitoring and conservation tasks. Game vehicle and equipment maintenance. Manage infrastructure upkeep (roads, fencing, water systems). Supervise staff and contractors when required. Assist with maintenance when required. HER: Assistant Lodge Manager, Marketing and Reservations Hosting and general lodge duties. Assist across lodge operations including housekeeping, kitchen, and front‑of‑house. Support guest relations and check‑ins. Marketing and Social Media. Administration and reservations support. Assist with F&B, stock control and staff coordination. Qualifications & Skills HIM: FGASA Nature Site Guide – NQF4 (minimum), higher levels advantageous. Exceptional Birding Knowledge. Valid PDP. Minimum 3–5 years’ guiding experience. Mechanical and maintenance experience. Deputise for GM as and when necessary. HER: Marketing experience highly advantageous. Minimum 3-5 years’ lodge or hospitality experience. Strong organisational and multitasking ability. Skills HIM: Excellent bush knowledge and guest communication. Problem‑solving and hands‑on technical ability. Organised; proactive, and safety‑conscious. HER: Warm; professional guest interaction. Adaptability across multiple departments. Team player with attention to detail. Benefits Salary: ±R36,000 per couple (negotiable based on experience) Accommodation (Couple occupancy only) Meals provided when guests are in-house Work cycle: 21 days on / 7 days off Provident fund Start Date: ASAP
