Overview: Job purpose and deliverables

Core purpose of the role

To Be Business and Customer oriented, have the drive and ability to generate sales (Systems and Auction Sales) Effective communication with staff and customers. Lead the National Sales Team to achieve sales targets and growth.

Academic qualifications

Essential:

  • BCom in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or similar equivalent

Work experience

Essential:

  • Previous working experience as a National Sales Manager for 3 years or more

  • Applicable experience of sales performance metrics

Advantageous:

  • Motor industry experience

  • Hands on experience with the CRM Software

Knowledge

  • Indepth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team

Advantageous:

  • Understanding of Software as a service(SAAS) and selling the concept

  • IT acumen

Skills

  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills

  • Excellent Organisational and time management skills

  • Customer orientated with strong negotiation skills

  • Analytical and data driven problem solver

Key deliverables and outputs

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies

  • Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets

  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts

  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts

  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs

  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency

  • Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
