ProStaffSelect are in search of a HIGHLY SKILLED & TALENTED HEAD SOMMELIER / WINE SERVICE AMBASSADOR to oversee service, welcome & host, educate & excite guests with wine and food selections, recommend food & wine pairing options, do wine & food service, cocktails and barista service, pamper guests & ensure an unforgettable dining experience, do beverage controls, supervise staff and do general admin. REQUIREMENTS: × Hotel Management, Wine Diploma or Sommeliers qualifications essential × WSET level 2/3 or Cape Wine Academy qualifications needed × Excellent Food and Wine Knowledge plus knowledge of cocktails and all beverages × OUTGOING, professional and bubbly PERSONALITY with excellent relationship building skills × Experienced and polished in fine dining Food Service, Sommeliering, Barista duties and Beverage Service × Strong personality, SALES SKILLS and effective leader & manager × FULLY Computer literate in Word AND Excel with excellent Email etiquette × Excellent PERSONAL PRESENTATION × Confident (not arrogant) in creating a POSITIVE GUEST EXPERIENCE × ORGANIZED and self-motivated. A team player who is completely guest-focused × Must hold a valid Driver’s License RESPONSIBILITIES × Oversee and assist with set-up for service for restaurant lunches & dinners, private candlelight or cellar dinners × Offering and making of Sundowners and Cocktails for private guests × Recommending of wine and menu choices and taking note of all guest preferences × Hosting of wine tastings and wine and food pairing sessions × Doing Wine, Food and Baritsa service during all meals × Maintain a strict control over beverage stocks, wine cellar and F&B service equipment × Handle sales, do invoicing and deal with suppliers × Processing and control of all related F&B administration
