Job Summary
A reputable Microfinance Bank based in Ekiti State is seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and technically sound professional for the position of ICT Officer.
Reporting directly to management, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, operation, and maintenance of the bank's information technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure maximum uptime of the Core Banking Application CBA, safeguard information security, optimize network connectivity, and support electronic banking channels in line with Central Bank of Nigeria CBN IT guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration & Maintenance: Oversee the daily operations, configuration, and maintenance of the bank’s hardware, servers, operating systems, and software applications.
- Core Banking Support: Manage and provide first-level technical support for the bank’s Core Banking Application CBA, ensuring efficient database management, processing of end-of-day EOD/end-of-month EOM activities, and accurate data generation.
- Network & Security Management: Implement and monitor robust network security measures, including firewalls, antivirus systems, and access controls to protect the bank's digital assets from cyber threats.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Execute strict daily, weekly, and monthly data backup protocols, and regularly test the bank's Disaster Recovery Plan DRP to ensure business continuity.
- Alternative Channels Support: Monitor and maintain electronic banking channels, agency banking platforms, and POS deployment terminals, ensuring seamless service delivery to customers.
- Regulatory & Technical Compliance: Assist in pulling necessary system technical logs and reports for regular CBN/NDIC e-rendition compliance platforms.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of post-qualification experience as an IT/ICT Officer within a financial institution, with hands-on experience in Microfinance Core Banking Applications.
- Professional Certifications: Relevant IT certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, MCSE, or ITIL will be an added advantage.
- Technical Competencies: Strong knowledge of SQL database management, network administration LAN/WAN, Windows/Linux server management, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving capabilities, quick diagnostic skills, high integrity, and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
