Minimum Requirements:
- BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 to 6 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
- Strong experience in full product design lifecycle
- Experience with:
o Autodesk Inventor
o ANSYS
o FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
o MATLAB
- Experience producing manufacturing and production-ready drawings
- Ability to work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and production teams
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing
processes
- Defence, aerospace, military, heavy engineering, or advanced manufacturing industry experience
will be highly advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical products and components from concept through to
production
- Generate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings
- Perform simulations, stress analysis, and FEA calculations
- Support prototype development and testing
- Liaise with production and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility
- Conduct engineering calculations and design validations
- Assist with continuous product improvement and optimisation
- Ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards
