Norrenberger Financial Group is seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Officer to join our Technology & Innovation team in Port Harcourt. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the office's IT infrastructure by providing end-user support, maintaining networks and systems, supporting security and communication technologies, and contributing to a secure and efficient technology environment.

Job Details

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral devices.
  • Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switches, routers, and firewall connectivity.
  • Assist in maintaining office IT infrastructure and perform routine preventive maintenance.
  • Support CCTV systems, biometric access control, and time attendance systems.
  • Monitor and maintain UPS units, inverter systems, and other IT-related power infrastructure.
  • Provide support for IP telephony and communication systems.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and documentation.
  • Liaise with vendors for equipment maintenance, repairs, and warranty support.
  • Apply security updates and patches while adhering to cybersecurity policies and IT governance standards.
  • Escalate infrastructure and security issues where necessary and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals, ITIL Foundation, or CCNA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years' hands-on experience in an IT support or technical support role.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi administration, switches, routers, and printer support.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control solutions, time attendance systems, UPS/inverter infrastructure, and IT asset management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support users across all levels of the organization
