Junior External Sales Representative

Location: Mokopane, Limpopo

Our client, a well-established engineering and industrial supply company serving the mining, power generation, municipal and manufacturing sectors, is looking to appoint a motivated Junior External Sales Representative to join their growing team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and working within the industrial or engineering sector. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, and promoting a wide range of engineering products and services throughout the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities within the assigned sales territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits and product presentations.
• Prepare quotations in collaboration with the internal sales team and follow up to secure orders.
• Promote the company's range of industrial products and engineering services.
• Identify opportunities within mining companies, engineering contractors, municipalities, power stations and industrial manufacturers.
• Conduct market research and monitor competitor activity.
• Maintain accurate customer records using the CRM system.
• Prepare weekly sales reports and assist with debt collection where required.
• Achieve monthly sales and profitability targets.

The successful candidate will market and sell a broad range of industrial and mechanical products, including:

• Industrial valves
• Pumps
• Electric motors
• Pipes and tubes
• Bearings
• Couplings
• Mechanical seals
• Gaskets
• Fasteners
• Hydraulic components
• Industrial hoses
• Conveyor components

The company also provides engineering services, including valve refurbishment, pump refurbishment and electric motor repairs.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• 2–3 years' external sales experience.
• Experience within industrial, engineering, mining or technical sales would be highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of customer relationship management and quotation processes.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and customer-focused.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the sales territory.
